Friday Aug. 28th 2009 - took Sam to see Dr. Melissa Stoll at Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral Animal Hospital here in Wilmington. Dr. Thompson had referred us to her and recommended quick surgery to remove the anal sac tumor she'd found the day before. Dr. Stoll called back late afternoon and said she could schedule the surgery for first thing Monday but that the surgery to remove the lymph nodes was risky and we don't know if the tumor is cancer or if it has spread to the lymph nodes.
We made the apt for Monday and waited for Dr. Thompson to call with the test results on the iliac lymph nodes but she never called.
