Thurs. Jan 21st - We gave Sam 1000 mL of fluids, one Prilosec, one magnesium tablet, two Prednisone, & 12 Tramadol. Steve decided to withhold the Sucralfate today to see if it would help Sam's diarrhea. We've been keeping Sam in his cage area when we are at work. We do this for several reasons: to keep an eye on him via our webcam, to limit where he is if he has diarrhea, & to keep him from slipping on the hard wood floors if Mushka rushes to bark at the mailman. Today after lunch, Steve forgot to close the gate on Sam's cage area. So, for most of the afternoon we couldn't see him on our camera. Late in the day he was back in his cage with the door still open. We had to laugh, it seemed like he knew he should be there and was going to see if Steve noticed the door was open.
