ECVR results

Wed. Feb 10th - We gave Sam 1000 mL of fluids, one Prilosec, two Prednisone, & 8 Tramadol. Windy today! Steve took Sam to ECVR this morning for his weekly blood draw. His results had some good numbers. His calcium is 9.8 mg.dL, his BUN came down from 67 Jan 25th to 36 today. His platelets are still low and his ALKP was off the charts so we want to discuss this with Dr. Stoll. I did a bit of research & found it could be due to his prednisone but may also be a sign of a slowdown or blockage of bile flow in his liver. His ALKP had been 1672 U/L on Jan 19th, then 1802 U/L on Jan 25th and today it was 2000 U/L, normal is 23-212 U/L. We plan to follow up with Dr. Stoll Thursday. The pups played a bit outside at lunch but with the wind and the cold temps their time was limited.
