Good News - The chemo appears to have started lowering the calcium levels so he came home today! We did have to give him subcutaneous fluids which was weird but if helps him we'll do it as much as he needs it. So good to have him back home with us.

Bad News - Turns out Dr. Dupree did do a follow up ultrasound on Sam and found a second set of enlarged lymph nodes. The original set of lymph nodes, the iliac, are positioned on each side of the abdominal aorta - shown in blue below. This second set of lymph nodes that Dr. Dupree found are the hypogastric lymph nodes are situated in a much riskier place for surgical removal-shown in red below. So, now surgery isn't as much of an option.
9/09 Calcium level = 11.0
