4th bisphosphonate treatment

Tues. Jan 19th - We gave Sam one Prilosec, two Sucralfate, two Prednisone, & 12 Tramadol. Steve took Sam to ECVR this morning for this 4th bisphosphonate treatment. Dr. Stoll called late this afternoon with an update. She said he'd done well and we discussed if he could come home. After his last bisphosphonate treatment on Dec. 23rd, he came home but had breathing difficulties & had to return to ECVR for several days. We went longer between treatments this time & his calcium has crept back up slightly to 11.2mg/dL. We decided to bring him home tonight and keep a very close eye & ear on him. Last time it was the sound of his breathing that we first noticed around 10:30pm. As of this post he is doing well and only panting slightly. He still had intermittent diarrhea today.
