Sunny Sunday SamDog

Sun. Jan 31st - We gave Sam 1000 mL of fluids, one Prilosec, two Prednisone, & 12 Tramadol. Another chilly day but nice & sunny so the pups got some time outside. Moo went for a long walk but Sam wasn't interested. He isn't a fan of the cold, smart pup! We enjoyed the morning at home with the pups and played some tug with them outside. Thankfully the sun melted the ice on the deck so Sam won't slip again. He wasn't sure about walking out there again after his fall last night. We're keeping an eye on his legs to see if they bruise like after his other fall. Back to ECVR for his weekly blood draw. We are hoping his BUN levels are down since we've changed his kibble to a lower protein version. He is eating all kibble & beans these days, with milk bone & carrot snacks. Nice to have a break from cooking chicken & rice but if he wants it again we'll do it. Just happy to have a SamDog here with us!
