Tues. Dec 8th - We gave Sam 1000 mL of fluids, ½ a Mirtazapine, one Prilosec, two magnesium tablets, three Sucralfate & three Prednisone. ECVR faxed Sam's magnesium # today at 1.7mEq/L back into the normal range. Dr. Stoll called this evening to discuss his results along with the results from Monday. She said since his magnesium was good we could back him off to two magnesium a day. I asked her about his low platelets and she explained a number of factors could cause these to be lower. At this point, she isn't concerned but we plan to monitor his results closely.
Steve was out of town today so I visited the pups at lunch. Sam is so sweet, when it is time to go back into his cage area - all you have to do is ask him and the walks right in. Sam & and Mushka played at lunch and enjoyed a walk this evening.
What great pups - we are grateful for everyday we have with them.
