Mon. Sept. 7
th, 2009 - We were lucky to be off today because
ECVR was very busy and we had to wait two hours to visit Sam. We had a good visit with Sam, he even rested some with us, he seems very tired. The 2
nd visit with him today we took one of his pillows so he could rest more comfortably. The Vet Techs told us he wasn't eating so Steve left during our PM visit to get him some food. He ate a peanut butter sandwich.
Dr.
Stoll had originally not recommended surgery to remove the
iliac lymph nodes but since Sam's calcium wasn't
responding quicker to chemo she brought up the surgery option again. We struggled with this decision but decided to move forward with the surgery to remove the
iliac lymph nodes. Very hard decision due to the risk of him bleeding out during this surgery.
9/07 Calcium level = 11.6
