Mushka visited Sam at ECVR

Sun. Sept 6th, 2009 - We took Mushka with us today to visit Sam at ECVR. We thought it might do them both good to see each other but...as Moo has shown in the past, he isn't the most outwardly compassionate pup. It was still good to have the pack back together if only for a few minutes. ECVR was busy today so they put us in the back storage room for our visit. As luck would have it Dr. Slone Dupree came into the storage room to get her ultrasound equipment.

Dr. Sloan Dupree, a board certified radiologist based in Wilmington, founded Carolina Veterinary Mobile Radiology, Inc. Dr. Dupree chatted with us for several minutes about Sam's case, the ultrasound done at Hanover Regional Animal Hospital, the speciality Oncologists at VSH in Cary. She even offered to do another ultrasound on Sam to make sure nothing was missed at Hanover Regional Animal Hospital. We thanked her for the advice and are discussing a trip to VSH once we get Sam out of ECVR.

We ended up visiting Sam a 2nd time today - the emotion of his ordeal is getting to us & we worry he won't be able to come home because his calcium won't come down. Sam Dog Sam Dog!
9/06 Calcium level = 12.4
